BRIDGING THE GENERATION GAP

Employees quit their managers, not the company. Outdated management attitudes need to be set aside.  We are facing a crisis as the population will shift from “baby boomers” in the workforce to Genxers and there are 45% less Genxers than “baby boomers”.  Talent Management will become a major problem for all companies.  It is estimated that by the end of 2008 we will have 2 million more jobs than people to fill them! The numbers only increase.  Companies with money and the reputation as employers of choice will survive the crisis, many others will not.

Companies today must have a workforce strategy in place to meet the challenges of the impending workforce crisis and one that retains their current key talent.  Managers need to look at their employees not as challenges to deal but rather as people to be understood. Organizations must ensure they have the right person in the right job. Additionally, organizations must develop effective managers and verify the specific management skill sets that are required for them to perform up to their full potential.  An interactive workshop during which the participants will explore, understand and learn what is needed to bridge the generation gap.
